Purchasing Phase

  • Provide purchasing services to execute the Project, placing all orders on behalf of the Client for merchandise, materials and labor and endeavor to achieve timely delivery in accordance with the documents prepared during the Design Phase and Specification and Fabrication Documents Phase.

Market Phase

  • Accompany the Client to various showrooms or sources of supply as the Designer believe necessary.
  • Individually sourcing materials needed to accommodate established criteria for the Project.

Administration Phase

  • Generally direct the work of contractors selected on behalf of the Client and endeavor to insure that the contractors achieve quality performance and timely execution of the work.
  • Perform or procure such periodic inspections as the Designer may consider appropriate, but constant observation of work on the Project does not form part of the Designer’s duties.

STANDARD SCOPE OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES:

Design Phase

  • Inspect and review those areas or rooms to be included in the Project
  • Consult with the Client to establish criteria for the Project.
  • Prepare furniture layouts, color schemes, specifications or other documents as required to describe the size and character of the Project.
  • Select and specify surface materials and finishes, window treatments, furniture, furnishings, plumbing and lighting fixtures and all other items and materials required to perform the Project.
  • Shall prepare an estimate of probable project cost.

Specification and Fabrication Documents Phase

  • Provide visual presentations as required to communicate the desired results of the Project, inclusive of built-in cabinet work, and architectural and decorative features.
  • Prepare specification documents for furniture, furnishings and custom-designed items and fabrication procedures.
